FREMONT, CA: Fingerprint Cards AB has recently launched a new biometric solution. Succeeding various useful additions in Chromebooks, the demand for biometric authentication has increased as a more expedient and safer authentication process for the consumer and enterprise PCs. Fingerprints’ new solution is customized to be used across an increasing number of several form factors and use cases involving 2-in-1 convertibles, PC accessories, and notebooks. The company is estimating that the initial PCs integrating this new offering will be launched by 2020.

It even interfaces with Windows Hello and is acquiescent with the Microsoft Enhanced Sign-in (SecureBio). It fulfills the requirement of Microsoft that it has for its biometrics and security.

Fingerprints’ portfolio of similar touch sensors is accessible in different coatings, customizable colors, and shapes to support various designs and placements. It might also include being developed into the power button, on the keyboard, on the palm rest, and placed on the side.

A research team by Fingerprints’ found that most customers (66%) are exhausted by PINs and passwords. Out of which, only 41% have admitted that they use a similar password in every service and app. 51% of consumers prefer utilizing biometrics so that they can authenticate themselves.
